In advance of Andrew Graves solo show in collaboration with acclaimed artist-led Gallery French Riviera we talk to Andrew about his latest body of work, a series of wonderfully meandering abstract paintings.
In these works, we encounter a fascinating blend of transparency and opacity, where bright colours often complement one another and sometimes ignite intense clashes within otherwise harmoniously composed paintings. Rhythms emerge, playfully woven into the fabric of the works, creating compositions that are both structured and spontaneous.
